Episode 60: Heaven's Eye, Earth's Gate
I am so sorry for posting this late. A LOT has happened in the past week especially with my uncle passing away. I am so preoccupied with work, my grad school and the burial preparations that we need to do.
But despite my busy life last week, I managed to watch FMA and boy, this is the MOST awesome episode I have ever watched!!!

Back at Father's lair, May challenges father to know the secret behind the immortality. She attacks Father but is at a loss since Father can use alchemy without moving or using any circle. Hoenheim tries to warn her but is too late since May already got pawned by Father. Throwing knives will not work since he just absorbs everything and any close attacks are easily blocked. May is badly injured from the attacks.

Outside HQ, the Ishvalans are busy preparing the reverse transmutation circle that is the product of the research of Scar's brother. Speaking of Scar, he is facing off Wrath. The battle of the two nameless people are starting. Scar is about to be loosing and be pinned down by Wrath, however spikes appeared on the ground and impaled Wrath's arm. Wrath is surprise that Scar did this for he knew that Scar's alchemy is only about deconstruction. But thanks to his brother's research, Scar now knows how to do reconstruction.

Ed and Al is facing Pride and as they both attempt to strike him, Pride is just jumping to dodge attacks instead of using his shadows, which he normally does. After seeing that May is critically injured, Ed sends Al to May's assistance why he, alone will face Pride. May is healing herself with alchemy.

Knowing the Pride won't kill him, Ed attacks and will kill Pride instead. But Pride tells Edward that since he's been fighting big people so he has no idea how to fight someone smaller than him. Pride now attacks with his shadows but is surprise when Ed head butts Pride as he says that yes, he has been fighting big people and that's exactly why he knows why short people fight. Pride's face disintegrates because with this.

The fight was temporarily stopped when Father assembles the sacrifices as the eclipse is now happening. Greed arrives just in time to cut Father and says that the world belongs to him. But this is all just a fluke since Father expects Greed to arrive. The sacrifices are then dragged to the real center of the circle.

The transmutation starts and Truth's eye begins to open in all of the sacrifices' body. The nationwide circle activates and kills all people of the Amestris including Winry, Pinako, Danny Brosh, Maria Ross and everyone else.

Father's true intention wants to swallow God, someone who is of higher power so that he can become a part of him.

  1. I know it is so wrong to be so happy that everyone has just died, but everything just get better and better!
I had been wondering if they had forgotten about that circle, but now I see that they were working on it all along, and I like how we get to see the bad guy win for once. And he wins in such a grandiose way.
Devouring God seems a little bit too hasty though, I personally expect either failure or a twisted end result!

Also, I send my condolences to both you and your family over the loss of your Uncle. I hope this week will be a little less hectic :)

  2. Hey thanks! The loss is really accepted by my family. :)

It's really amazing to see the circle lighting..in a way I find it amusing to see. But I shouldn't be happy because of the activation of the circle would mean that the Amestrians will die.

A few episodes left before the ending! Exciting :)
