Episode 49: Familial Love

I hope to finish FMA within this week. Damn! Why in the world did I let this series get past me?! The story is now getting HOT~

To continue from the fight with Pride, Pride realized that Hoenheim is nearby. And to draw him out, he decides to attack Ed, Greed and Lan Fan fiercely. Though, Lan Fan is not yet 100% ready with her automail. Ed asks her to worry about herself since he will definitely need her help later on.

Hoenheim is indeed nearby and is busy with waking up Al. Al then learns of the current situation and has felt guilty that everything happened because of him. To make up, he thinks of a brilliant idea to and would need the skill of his Father to complete it.

Finally, Hoenheim heads out to the battlefield to do Al's plan. So, the plan is to trap Pride in a dome made of earth. To achieve that, Al acts as the bait for Pride and Hoenheim will be the one to transmute the dome. Of course, Ed gets angry at this idea because Al was left inside the dome with Pride but his father told him that it was Al's idea.

Inside the dome is a battle of will between Al and Pride. The two had a little chat about the human nature of loving. Pride narrated that he became attached to Wrath's wife because she showed him compassion when he was about to get hit by a car. The wife protected him and saved him from the danger that is about to happen. Because of that, Pride loved her and considered her as a mother. After all, he only have a Father since the time he existed.

Meanwhile, Greed runs off and head to Central by himself to achieve his greedy plan of being the King of the World! Roy also paid his visit to Hughes' grave before going on with his plans.

If you are wondering about Kimblee, he had a little moment in this episode. He just killed a bunch of Ishval men while getting excited about what will happen soon. Scar and Marcoh's party also arrived in the area and got information that May Chang returned to Central. They then met up with Ed and Hoenheim's group to plan out what they will do. Fu heads out to scout on what is happening outside and to check on Lan Fan's situation.

Somewhere in Central, Danny Brosh wakes up on the Promised Day to find a smoke somewhere around the time. It is there where you can find Roy's party with King Bradley's wife as they start to also do their operations. They gets surrounded by soldiers whose order is to keep ONLY  Mustang alive.
