Episode 19: Death of the Undying
Never allow Roy Mustang to get angry or else you'll be burned to death. Hahahaha.
So sorry for the uber late post~~~
To date, this is my favorite episode and an affirmation that Roy Mustang is my favorite character in the whole FMA fandom.
For someone like me who did not read the manga, I was really awestruck by this episode. I caught myself shocked on the turn of events and being excited to see what could happen next.
My favorite Roy moment this time was when he burnt Lust until the very end that the Philosopher's Stone's regeneration powers is not enough to sustain the life of Lust. Even Lust felt satisfied in the hands of Roy - his eyes are honest and without any hesitation.
Another thing that I like about Roy is his concern for his subordinates. Even when he is badly injured, he still worries about Riza and Havoc. He rushed to Riza's side when he Riza hanged up the phone because of Gluttony. He also said to Havoc who was stabbed by Lust that he is not allowed to die before him.
There's no Ed action in this episode. He only appeared at the end when he met his father Hoenheim and that shocked him so much. Al got to have his moments as he protected Riza from Lust's attack. He got a little injured..err..destroyed because of the fight.
What's also notable was Riza's reaction when she thought that Roy's dead. She really broke down and fired all the shots that she can so that she can avenge Roy.
Anyway, Lust is already dead and so is Barry the Chopper. And yeah, there are still FMA cracks that I really love. It lightens up the mood and makes things much more interesting.
