I say that this is an anime original yet somewhat following the manga because of a certain portion that is adapted from the manga.
I admit that this is just an "okay" episode for me, but this somehow relieved me from the hanging ending of the Chapter 50. I think this episode wants to convey that Misa-chan is willing to accept Usui no matter what background does he have. HAHAHAHHA.
Even though this is just an "okay" for me, I am loving all the Usui-ness in this episode ♥
This is not so manga original part. While on the way home, Misa-chan's mom, Minako Ayuzawa accidentally bumped with Usui who is walking along the street. As a result, the apples that she is carrying fell from its plastic bag and Usui ended up helping Minako. At first he doesn't know that she is Misa-chan's mom but after describing her daughter, he gets a feeling that he will end up at Ayuzawa's residence.
Well, it seems that destiny is now playing its part as it is actually Misa-chan's house and he get to see a lot of things about Misa-chan. He saw the height meter of Misa-chan and Suzuna and he also get to fix the old and broken floors of the Ayuzawa Residence. Afterwards, he enjoyed some rabbit shaped apple wedges with Suzuna and Minako. Misa-chan arrives and is surprised to see that Usui is there at their home.
She dragged Usui out of the house and they were seen by Sakura and Shizuko, holding hands and thinks that the two are going out. Misa-chan dragged Usui to a park and thanks him for helping her mom and Usui responded that he is happy because he got to know things that ONLY HE CAN know about Misa-chan. He wishes to get to know more about her.
Next day at school, Misa-chan clarifies with Sakura the reason why they are holding hands and this made Sakura and Shizuko disappointed. Over lunch, they talked about how mysterious Usui's life is and Sakura thinks that Usui is a rich kid who goes to a sports club, shops luxurious clothes and eats at a first class restaurant. As for Misa-chan, she can't reveal that Usui is a regular at Maid Latte since she hasn't revealed her secret yet. Sakura wanted to follow Usui on his way home to get to know even his home address. In her mind, Misa-chan is also getting curious to know more about Usui. But little do they know that at the rooftop, Usui is eavesdropping.
At the Maid Latte, the Moron Trio gets disappointed that Misa-chan took the day off on the same day that they used their money to order a full menu. Misa-chan was granted a break after being seen sweating and nervous by Satsuki. She is nervous because Sakura called her and said that they are tailing Usui and the found him at the Maid Latte. Sakura is asking for her to come and join them.
Usui went out of the Maid Latte and they found out about Usui's activities:
Went to an exclusive sports club to go for a swimming (This is where I am drooling over his body. WAAH!)
Bought expensive George Armani coat worth 500,000 Yen
Eat on a first class restaurant. At first Sakura thought that Usui is having a date with a girl, which saddens Misa-chan a LOT, a clear indication that she feels something special for Usui.
I think Usui knew that Misa-chan was troubled and so he went to his goofy mode and ran away from the restaurant wearing a kimono. He acted very differently and did all sorts of stuffs that would be very surprising, like:
Helping an old lady cross the street
With the useless and nonstop chase with Usui, Sakura and Shizuko decides to go home while Misa-chan sees Usui at a part. A new knowledge even for manga reading fans, Usui has a soft spot for animals especially for cats! He saw a stray cat and decided to bring it home to keep. However, the kitten (bad kitten x_x) is not really that friendly to Usui as it scratches his face, leaving him with marks.
As expected, Usui knows that he is being followed and is a little happy because Misa-chan is showing interest to get to know him more. He says that if Misa-chan asks for his address, he will be very willing to give it to her. He invites her to his home and even gives his home address, which she crunches up saying that she doesn't need it.
Later at home, Misa-chan is looking at the address of Usui's house and we see Usui living in a top floor room of a building and HE IS WEARING GLASSES WHEN HE IS AT HOME. KAWAIIIIIII!!! :)
