Detective Conan OVA 10: Kid in Trap Island

Kaitou Kid fans, heads up!!!!! A very special OVA that features our very dear Kaitou Kid. Personally, this should be longer like a movie, but nonetheless, I enjoyed the OVA. All praises to Kaitou Kid-sama! *I am also tagging this post with Magic Kaito to consolidate all posts about Kid*

So as usual, Kid sets his eyes on the Artemis' Teardrop jewel. He manages to steal it even though it is heavily guarded by Nakamori's iris scanner but before he gets to escape, Shinichi's stops him. Knowing Kid, he gets away from Shinichi but because the Shounen Tantei are ready to corner Kid on the certain location, they destroyed his hang glider, leaving him stranded on the island with the kids.

Basically, what happened was that Kid had a chance to spend time with the kids. And thankfully, they are not dumb  keen enough enough and thought that Kid is Shinichi, Kid evaded from being caught by assuming Shinichi's persona.

Another exciting twist in the story was that the owner of Artemis' Teardrop is engaged in illegal smuggling of firearms as well as trading of fake gems and artwork. President Nezu, the owner of the jewel plans to use Kaitou Kid to seal the fact the he has the genuine jewel by saying that Kid switched the jewel with a fake one.

But while posing in as Shinichi, he got to know all of this information. At the same time, Conan followed the President's moves and was also able to find out the truth. Again, the two somehow helped each other in exposing the truth about the President. At the end, Conan offered a deal: return the jewel and he will let Kid walk away in exchange of keeping the children safe. Kid took the offer because after all, it's not the jewel he is looking for.

The episode ended with Kid escaping through a boat since his hang glider broke down. A fish jumped at him and he is very delighted to see the fish. Hahahahahahaha.

I really loved this OVA because you get to see Kid dressed in his blue polo shirt. And yeah, he does look like  Shinichi and I do not know if this will somehow affect the storyline in the near future. Pretty much, Kid had the longer screen time which make me feel SO happy because I have more time to enjoy the awesomeness of Kaitou Kid.

Kid is a really good person right? He is the best, cutest, most amazing gentleman thief I have ever seen. ^.^
