According to Kawaguchi, the new project will feature the simultanteous releases of comic series, music, new products under development, and visual works. Code Geass: Shikkoku no Renya (Code Geass: Renya of the Blackness)
Heads up CG boys and girls! According to the January issue of the Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine, Tomomasa Takuma (of Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally) is drawing a new Code Geass manga next year. The manga is tentatively holds the title, Code Geass: Shikoku no Renya (Jet-blacked Renya or Renya of the Blackness) and Goro Taniguchi (of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) is the one conceptualizing and scripting the story.
Plot of the new manga follows the same official Code Geass history as the anime, but in a different era. The title character, Renya, is a 17-year-old boy with a mechanical left arm and shuriken throwing stars as his weapons of choice. The story begins when Renya encounters a mysterious, perpetually young witch named "Reifū C.C." C.C. has appeared in Japan's historical Edo era to seek a new partner for a covenant. Meanwhile, a mysterious man, with a striking resemblance to the character Lelouch of the original anime, also appears with unknown intentions.
This new manga is part of the new Code Geass project for 2010.
