Fullmetal Alchemist - Episode 27

Episode 28: Banquet at the Crevice

I am such a failure for posting this for two weeks late :(
Episode 28 to follow later.

I gotta say that this episode is just a recap of the things that happened from episode 1 until episode 26. But this is not just any other recap because this is narrated by Hoenheim. I think, a more proper to call this episode is "FMA in Hoenheim's eyes".

The way the recap was presented was through a dream Hoenheim had. He is talking with Pinako about the human strife and the human transmutation that Ed and Al committed. Hoenheim feels that humans are weak and unlike homonculus, they do not have any special abilities that would make them eligible to be classified as strong. But young Trisha arrives and acknowledges him that human are indeed weak and fragile but that its the very reason that human strives so hard to be strong. Trisha finishes by suggesting that, if he feels lost, then all he needs to do is to remember the time he spent in Resembool.

Hoenheim has a LOT on his mind. He might appear to be weird, stiff, and does not care about things but through this episode, we can see that he has a lot of concerns about his sons, about his family and about the humans and homonculus.

I don't want to say something about the other Hoenheim for I know who he really is.

Btw, there's a new OP and ED. OP is Golden Time Lover by Sukima Switch and ED is Tsunaida Te by Lil'B.
