Tears to Tiara
Set in a fictitious land during a medieval-like era of magic and fantasy, Tears to Tiara unfolds with the Divine Empire’s rise to power as it conquers and rules lands far and wide. On the island of Erin, still ruled by the Ancient Kingdom, the Goidelic people are attempting to sacrifice priestess Riannon to revive protagonist and demon king Arawn to lead the resistance against the Empire. Although the ritual fails and Riannon survives, the seal imprisoning the demon king is broken and Arawn is resurrected. Armed with mysterious and devastating powers and a human’s demeanour, Arawn joins Riannon, her brother and battalion commander, Arthur, as well as their team of fighters comprising a swordsman, an archer and a quintet of magical pixies, in the epic struggle against the Divine Empire.

A very nice series. The characters are all love!!!! My top characters are:
- Pwyll
- Taliesin
- Arthur
- Arawn
Well, they are no in any particular order. They interchange depending on the episode or the role that they are playing. But basically, these four completes my watching experience.
The reason why I watched this one is because I can watch the raw episode from Animax. Even though I have very limited Japanese knowledge, I enjoy watching the raw since I get to sleep remembering my four characters together. I am glad I decided to watch this as I liked it so much!
Animation is so great! I like the coloring style and the drawing of the characters especially during colorful scenes! I really love the colors used. They are so striking to the eyes and it would really caught your attention.
What I also find interesting about Tiara is its naming convention. They are weirdest name I have ever heard in a series. Names such as Drwc and Dywrynn is a real challenge to read. The vowel-less words are really weird to read and I find it hard to remember the spelling. But since I've been blogging about this for about 26 episodes, I eventually remembered the names and the spellings.
Overall, this is another great series for me! It might just be a typical fantasy series but the characters are uniquely great amd amazing!

Hey xtine06! Long time no see... So the anime has finally ended, hasn't it? Though the last episode is a bit lacking, I believe that the anime is still wonderful. Hopefully there would be a sequel or something. I have no idea what happened to the other phantoms. Didn't Arawn and Arthur beat only one? Hmmm... Isn't it interesting.
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess it is time to focus our attention on fanfictions! Hehehehe
yea. they only defeated one. the other spirits didn't try and made their move.
ReplyDeletea sequel would be great! i want more!!!!!
Yup! Sequels are perfect. I would love to see how the phantoms would. Though the ending pretty much wrapped it up that they will continue to battle, I still would like to learn more and dig deeper. I think the anime has limitless potential.
ReplyDeleteOh well, I guess I'll just have to explore that deeper in my fanfictions.

On a much out of topic note, I'm sorry for the late reply. Busy life as ever and I regret to neglect my site. For now, I'll start rewatching the episodes and write some stories along the way.
Let not the passion for such a memorable and lesson-filled anime die out. (Ironic that the anime came from a hentai/eroge game XD)
Life has been busy. Mine is sooo jampacked too. I am too focused on my career life that I only get to post every weekend :(
ReplyDeletei am looking forward for the upcoming xmas break. hahahaha.
Yup! That would be great. We would have a two-week break from school, so that would be a good time to start writing fanfiction! Yay! I will finally take care of the anime that has been the longest obsession to ever take hold of me.
ReplyDeleteHehehe. It's time for the arrival of Annuwyn! Hahaha. =D
