Episode 6: Evening Dew Butler
What can I say with this episode?? THIS IS INDEED AN EPIC SUCCESS! Mysteries have been answered but at the same time, more questions are being raised. What will you look for an anime such as this? OMGEE. KuroII is TOTAL LOVE, much better than Season 1! ♥
I am liking Claude and Alois right now, but I am still for Ciel and Sebby! Go Team Phantomhive! ♥

Summary of the episode can be found here and here. I wanted to focus this post on the major revelations of this episode as well as new questions that were once again, left unanswered.

Ciel's Memory Loss

I would want to consider episode 6 to be the connecting episode between Season 1 and Season 2 because this episode gave the explanation why Ciel lost his memories and finally, we can say the Ciel's soul has not been consumed by Sebastian.

The episode opened with the last few moments of the first season where Sebby is so ready to consume the soul of Ciel but he was suddenly stopped. Why? It was because Claude stole Ciel's soul! How he stole it though is still a question. All we can is the spider, riding in a crow, which we all know as Claude. The sneaky spider stole the soul which left Sebastian disappointed and angry over what happened. So that's the reason why Sebastian went inside the Trancy household in episode 1 and took back Ciel's ring, where his soul is being kept (or the word "trapped" is much better to use?).

However, Claude said that Ciel's soul is not enough and he needs to take Ciel's body as well to make it perfect. He also comments that Ciel's soul is indeed rare is of fine quality. Sebastian got really irritated and disgusted that someone else touched Ciel. Sebastian further claims that Claude's sticky spider thread tranished Ciel's soul.

Sebastian may have been successful of reclaiming the soul of his bocchan, but he says that Ciel is not yet his master because the element of revenge is lost on his soul. Sebastian doesn't want to consume a revenge-less Ciel, and so he will use this opportunity to craft a second revenge for Ciel. Claude thinks that a human's soul, like Ciel does not have the right to have a second wave of revenge, but Sebastian says that his bocchan is different, so everything is worth it. He senses an extraordinary will in Sebastian, a strong attachment to Ciel's soul. With this, Sebastian says that it is just normal since he is a demon and Claude is much like similar to him.

Black Rose Deal

With Sebastian's strong desire to let Ciel take a second revenge, Sebastian made a deal with Claude, a win-win deal that Claude cannot resist. The ceremony will be a black rose ceremony, a demon-to-demon sworn promise. So there will be white roses which will be dropped with Claude and Sebastian's blood. As the flower turns to red, the two of them will make the deal:
Sebastian: I will now set you as Young Master's enemies for revenge.
Claude: I will receive Ciel Phantomhive after carrying out the revenge

They will now exchange flowers to seal the agreement, and then again dropped the flower with their own blood, until the flower turns into black.

But will Sebastian be willing to give away Ciel that much?

I don't think so! The episode gives a hint that he is indeed deceiving Claude as he said before the episode ended where his and Claude's eye meet that Young Master is mine!

And besides, he floated that idea to Claude and so I am getting the impression that he just did that to have a revenge subject for Ciel. With Angela dead from Season 1, Sebastian has to somehow rewrite what happened in Season 1, but this time, the Trancy household as the culprits.

Now, what will be interesting to see in the future episodes is Ciel's reaction that Sebastian has entered to a deal, with his soul on the line, without telling him about it. Also, it is also interesting to see if Ciel's memory to return, since we can that he has been getting flashbacks of the past? Personally, if Ciel remembers what happened and when he knows that Claude stole his soul, then he will have another reason for revenge.

Alois wanting Ciel or Sebastian?

I am getting confused already. See Claude's line:
My Master ordered me to steal Ciel Phantomhive from Sebastian Michaelis.
Also in this set of lines from Claude and Sebastian's confrontation:
Sebastian: You said earlier that your master's order is to steal Young Master from me.
Claude: To deliver you a suffering more painful than death, it will be meaningless to take Ciel Phantomhive who lost the memory of his revenge. I must steal a complete Ciel Phantomhive that has already done his revenge.
Sebastian: How about a deal?
So that this mean that Alois' true issue is with Sebastian, and he is just using Ciel to get into Sebastian? But you can also see Alois' longing to get hold of Ciel. He truly covets Ciel, so I am getting confused on Alois' true goal for messing with the Phantomives.

Trancy as the new subject for revenge:

With the deal complete, Sebastian brings to Ciel documents that Trancy investigated the Phantomhive's background. He even saw a paper document that shows that Ciel's father, Vincent Phantomhive has been investigated by the Trancy household, indicating that indeed, Trancy is the culprit behind the fall of the Phantomhives.

In the final parts of the episode where Claude returns to Alois, he tells him that the plan is in order. Is the plan refers to Ciel's soul restoration? Or setting Trancy as the new object for revenge? Gosh, Claude, can you be more specific????

What ever plan that might be, Alois starts the offense. His first move, dancing with Elizabeth, which challenged Ciel to also take the dance floor. When Alois' and Ciel's backs meet, they made their own promise:
Alois: Ciel Phantomhive...
Ciel: Alois Trancy...
Alois: I...
Ciel: I...
Alois: will definitely make you mine!
Ciel: will definitely kill you!
Now, the revenge has been set and the real fight begins.

  2. I just had this little thought that perhaps Sebastian is the demon that got away from Alois and the Trancy pansy ended up getting Claude instead. xD

  4. now the thing that sebastian only wants to devur a revengefiled soul is quite interesting, cause this is like another may-be hint which demon he might.be, since the name sebastian michaelis is given by ciel. the demon lord , acording ot some books about demon hierarchy (bt a french inquisitor with the same name-sebatsian michaelis- once wrote a book about the hierarchy of demons) who only is after souls filled with revenge, the lord of anger towards the enemies.. is sonneillon. im certain that sebastian is sonneillon. plus, sonneillon once possessed a nun, and sebastian did about the same- he used a nun- in the first season. also, he told angela that he played a role in the inquisition~
i think sebastian may be sonneillon.
