Fullmetal Alchemist - Episode 17

Fullmetal Alchemist Mystery Case 1:
Maria Ross' as the culprit to General Hughes' Murder Case.

Let me first explain why my FMA posts are always a week late. Well, I am watching the episode via Animax because my downloads are piling that I get to download it at a very late time. In my attempt to bring the latest episode at Hyper Parfait, this is the fastest way that I can think of.

Let's all continue playing detective for the 17th episode of FMA.


Case:

2nd Lt. Maria Ross was suddenly suspected of being the one behind the mysterious death of Hughes.

Evidence:

• .45 caliber bullet was the one who killed Hughes. Maria Ross uses a .45 caliber gun.
• Maria Ross had a report saying that she fired her gun once.
  
• A search for the fired bullet cannot be done since the 5th Laboratory was destroyed.

Maria Ross' alibi:

• The time she fired her gun was when the time she was escorting the Elric brothers. She fired it at Barry the Chopper.
• At the time of Hughes' death, she is at her parents house. But too bad, testimonies from close friends and relatives cannot be considered as valid alibis.
  

Verdict:

• Maria Ross was given the death sentence for being guilty of Hughes' death.
  

Other events that happened:

• Barry the Chopper broke in the prison to rescue Ma. Ross. He also freed Ling who was imprisoned for being an illegal alien in the country.
• Because of the prison break, an order to kill Ma. Ross if she resists was given.
• Roy, who happen to found Ma. Ross running snapped his fire and burnt Ma. Ross to death. The autopsy report proves that this is so. Roy is believed to have revenged Hughes' death.
  

Roy's Course of Action:

• He suddenly ordered Armstrong to bring Ed to Resembool to have his automail fixed even though there's really nothing wrong with it. This is a solid proof that he is planning something especially when he said that "Now there are no hindrances".

Based from Roy's hints and his smile towards the end, he really did something that cannot be disclosed as of now. I also took the liberty of checking the spoilers and I confirmed that Roy did something. I don't want to disclose it yet so that I will not spoil anyone. But for sure, whatever Roy did was something noble and great.
