Kuroshitsuji II
In late-nineteenth century England, one year and three months after the dramatic conclusion of the original series, Kuroshitsuji II introduces a new butler and young master. The sadistic yet cheerful Alois Trancy has faced some harsh times. He was kidnapped as a baby, and was forced to work in a village as a slave. Gradually, he lost his parents, his best friend, and everyone he knew. Alois eventually returned home and became the head of his mansion, but seemed to exhibit some strange behavior ever since. Even more curiously, he returned with Claude Faustus, an enigmatic, emotionless butler with unfathomable talent...

No matter how much I want to deny it, Kuroshitsuji is already over and a new season has already kicked in. So I guess before I start watching new anime for the new season, I got to properly end my last and still my obsession.
I guess when we first heard of the news that Kuroshitsuji will have a second season, all of its fans are so happy and a lot of speculations came in out of excitement. All of us had different fantasy in mind about what the new season will be but I guess none of them had included the introduction of a new butler and master. A lot of fans, including me didn't really accepted it wholeheartedly and went into saying that Kuroshitsuji is not Kuroshitsuji without Ciel and Sebastian. So what was then the anticipated anime became the un-anticipated anime.
A lot of hate messages have been directed to Yana Taboso, Kuroshitsuji's mangaka because of this development.
Then came the premier of the first episode. I remember that day, I was on my let's-check-it-out-it-might-be-interesting-but-still-Ciel-and-Sebby-for-me mood when, SEBASTIAN MICHAELIS appeared infront of the new butler and master of the new season.
Oh yes, we have all been trolled. And that trolling was an essential part of the second season. As Yana wrote on her blog post, she said that they have to endure the hate so that they can unveil the season with the mood that they intend everyone to have. Truly enough, from a very low thrill moment, the excitement level of fans shoots up to the highest level possible.
And I've got to say this right now, Kuroshitsuji II was really epically awesome!!!! All the trolling and everything else was worth it until episode 12 was unveiled weeks ago. I will definitely miss watching this one, especially my late Friday nights trying to watch it via Keyhole. Everytime I try to watch it, my eyes were always 0_0, and I will always be having a difficulty going to sleep right after.
So what do you think of Alois and Claude? For me, I do love them. For real. I admit I hated Alois before but after getting to know more about him, I got to appreciate his character. Even though he died in the end, I feel happy for him because he finally got what he wanted: to be with his brother and at the same time experience being loved, which was deprived from him when he was a child.
And of course, I will always be for Sebastian and Ciel. For me, nothing still beats the relationship between the two, especially that right now, Sebastian and Ciel will be sharing the eternity together. As I have mentioned in my episode 12 post, I don't know if I will be happy for Sebastian or not. He didn't get to eat his precious bocchan's soul in the end. I dunno if he now looks at Ciel as his curse that he has to bare until the end of time, but I am certain that his loyalty to Ciel will never fail. He may not get his precious soul, but he gets to be the eternal butler of Ciel Phantomhive, someone whom he deeply cares for. (Yes he do! Even if Sebastian will deny it...)
Now for Season 3, I agree with those who claim that there's no good storyline if we continue it on Season 3, but as I keep on mentioning, separation anxiety tells me to wish for Season 3 to come. Who knows right? Season 2 came because of insistent public demand. I know, i know, proper closure have already been delivered but who wants more right????????
This will not be my last Kuroshitsuji post as there will still be OVAs and it will be posted once they are released. So until then...~
I miss Kuro so bad, too, and it's only been a month and a bit...
ReplyDeletelol Kuroshitsuji definitely marks one of the biggest trolls in anihistory. But shrug, my hate towards Claude hadn't diminished since mid-season (especially after 'poor Alois' kicked in, all he wanted was Claude's love!); I don't like Alois either, but one can't deny that the poor kid had it rough in life and deserve more than a little sympathy.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, Sebastian may be angry and disappoint all he likes but we know he actually like Ciel so xDDD
@tally-woods
ReplyDeleteYeah. A month has passed and I am still missing it so bad!!! :(
@Aorii
I guess my love for Alois and Claude are all because of my pity on them as compared to my love for Ciel and Sebby!!! <3
Gosh, I miss it already!!!
Kuro II started like a new anime, with other characters and exploring another styles of corruption xD (see Trancy family...), and all of them, finally, only was an excuse to make (again) a Ciel (with his own anime and manga ¬¬) the BIG PROTAGONIST.
ReplyDeleteI hate Kuroshitsuji II final. I love Kuroshitsuki II chaps. 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8...
If they want more Ciel, Cien, and Ciel again, don't use AWESOME characters to be wasted u__u
@Nana
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with you. Episode 8 is my favorite as well :)
