Episode 58: Human Sacrifices

Finally, it has come to a point where I am not soooo looking forward to the next episode because I don't want to see what will happen to Roy Mustang.

But anyways, this is still a very good episode!

Greed continues to attack Wrath as Lan Fan goes to his grandfather's side to see him for one last time. The fight between the two homonculus continues and since Wrath is incapacitated with his damaged eye, he is pushed to the corner and nearly falls to the river, if only he didn't let go of Greed's hand. As Greed is also about to let go, Lan Fan came just in time to save Greed from falling. Bradley got shot by a Briggs soldier which caused him to fall.

Lin comes out and runs to Fu's bloody body and cries for his death. He shouts if there is anyone who is well versed with alchemy as he has a philosopher's stone inside of him. Lin cries more as he knows that he cannot save someone he loves even though he knows that help is within his reach.

Buccaneer calls for Greed and asks for a favor of defending the gates, as ordered by Olivier. This is a very emotional moment as Buccaneer says his final farewell to his comrades. Lin got shot by a dying central soldier, but this is nothing for him since he has Greed inside him.

Determined to not let the deaths Buccaneer and Fu go into waste, Lin asked for Greed's power so that he can defend the gates. With this, Lin's whole body gets enveloped by Greed's Invincible Shield. He plunges to anyone that goes his way and mercilessly kill all of them.

On the way to underground, Olivier gets informed about Buccaneer's death. The Ice Queen didn't shed a tear. She orders her men that if Buccaneer died smiling, then they should not cry for him as well. She also got to know that Bradley took a fatal blow and is again missing, which shocked their prisoner. They continue their search along with Sid, who desperately looks for Izumi.

In Father's lair, all human sacrifices arrive: Ed, Izumi and Al. They found Hoenheim being absorbed by Father. Apparently, Hoenheim cannot defeat the homonculus. Hoenheim gets completely absorbed as Ed and Izumi prepares to fight. Ed calls for Al to wake up, but Al didn't respond.

After the disappearance of Ed, Roy, Riza and Scar are in a big pinch against Gold-tooth's men. Everyone gets cornered. Gold-tooth invited Roy to become the 5th human sacrifice by committing human transmutation. Of course, Roy declined the offer after knowing that human transmutation does not really work. But to force him to do it, Riza's throat got slashed causing her to bleed rapidly.

Gold-tooth presents this proposal to Roy: He will perform the taboo and Gold tooth will save Riza from dying or Riza will die and Roy will transmute her back. Riza replies that she will not die as she is ordered not to die. Gold-tooth continues on taunting Roy to do it as blood is being lost from Riza. He is already pushed in the corner and even though Riza told him to not to, he finally agrees to perform it.
