Episode 21: The Song of Origin
R.I.P. Taliesin :(
I will remember you as the useless bard who saved them all.
Before I go all out lamenting over the death of one of my favorite character....I would want to say that this episode completed the transformation of Arawn from White to Black.
After the death of Myrdin, Lucifer became the 12th Spirit and vowed to help create the utopia he wanted and to atone for the sins of Myrdin. But after descending back to the land to see for himself the spring that Myrdin brought. He saw how nice spring is but what shocked him was to see that the young girl they saved was just inside the cave. When Lucifer brought him outside, it seems that the girl is hypnotized and was just chanting the following words over and over again:
I am your servant, my noble and pure master
I am your slave, my omnipotent and ultimate god
I am forever yours, my love for you is eternal
I am your slave, my omnipotent and ultimate god
I am forever yours, my love for you is eternal
Finally, Lucifer saw the meaning of Myrdin's words and went back to up to heaven and bid his adieu to the spirits. He staged a war against them. He returned back to land and the young girl is already back to herself. Lucifer gave her a crown of flowers. These flowers were called primula. Lucifer also named the girl Primula.
I was right! So that's how Arawn and Primula met. That was also the end of the flashback...the end of the past that Taliesin saw.
Speaking of Taliesin.......he died in this episode!!!! After seeing the past, he decided that he would sing the Song of the Origin to bring in the avalanche that could wipe out all of their enemies. Of course, Arawn disagreed but after Taliesin convinced him that he can only do it and this is not the path for the Kings, Arawn has no choice but to agree. Arthur didn't knew about this since Taliesin knocked him out before.
Because of Taliesin's sacrifice, they were able to temporarily stopped the enemy. But the most affected people because of his death are Arthur and Epona. Arthur swore on Taliesin's memory that he would learn everything about the world so that he will be stronger. Epona, on the other hand, said that he will never forget Taliesin and sang a final song for him.
I am really sad that Taliesin had to die. He is a great man and his wits and personality amuse me. But I think he found his resolve when he decided to do the song because it is those scenes where I can see the sweetest of his smiles. When Epona sang, it was very dramatic since it was heard throughout Avalon. Everybody remembered Taliesin and they will forever regard his sacrifice.
So next episode, I am looking forward to watch it because in the preview I saw Pwyll!!!!! O god, after Taliesin died and I feel so sad, then I became excited to see Pwyll once again!!!! Tiara has already started to play with my feelings. Hahahaha.
As usual, for in detailed summary of this episode, reychop's blog is here! :) Thanks reychop!!!

-sniffles- This episode is indeed dramatic. Or a little bit too sad... Talieshin will always remain in our hearts. Who knows? "He might just suddenly appear on our backs" - By Octavia. ^_^
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this is one of the most "emotional" posts you had. And the numerous pics of Talieshin even adds to my sadness... I guess you do get to be attached to a certain character- fiction or not- at some point in your lives.
Though I did not shed a tear in Talieshin's behalf, I do managed to shed a tear or two at Myrddin's death. So, we're on the same boat, we are getting attached to Tears to Tiara.
It's sad that Tears to Tiara is ending soon. -sigh-
On the other hand, I'm loving the smilies! Hehehe... Great pics as always and nice contents. See you soon! ^_^
Oh and I forgot to report yet another inconsistency... Animax has "Song Of Genesis" instead of "Song Of Origin".
ReplyDeleteBut since the meaning is the same, I wouldn't make a big fuss out of it. Though "Genesis" is a bit biblical, I'll stick with it... Hehehe
I did get attached to Taliesin. His mysterious character intrigued me so much that I enjoyed following his character. Too bad, he died and only had a few episodes :(
ReplyDeleteTaliesin's smiles in his last moments were all true and sweet. He had the truest smile i ever saw on him so it's worth the capture.
I've seen episode 22. Hahaha. I enjoyed seeing too much Pwyll moments!!!!!! :)
Hahaha. I loved episode 22, too. I was so excited by it that I immediately wrote a summary. (http://tearstotiara.blogspot.com/2009/08/episode-22-dyrnwyn-episode-summary-for.html)Hopefully, it's not inaccurate... I'm too sleepy at the moment.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the Pwyll moments, in my mind is mostly concentrated on the Pwlly X Arawn moment, which aroused my defensive side for the Arawn X Arthur pairing. Hahahaha XD
hahahaa. arawn x arthur is still a pair that i like. i am only supporting and loving pwyll....for now(?)
ReplyDeleteThat's good to hear. Though I must admit Pwyll is a lot cuter than Arthur. But I like Arthur's personality better than Pwyll's (the one revealed in episode 22, before he met Lucifer).
ReplyDeletei think it is alright to love both pwyll and arthur since arthur is a descendant of pwyll. hahaha.
ReplyDeletei am loving both of them from different perspectives ^^
True, True. Hahahaha. I would definitely write a fanfiction should this anime end and a section becomes available in fanfiction.net It would be interesting to hear and to know how others would accept my "unmet" theories.
ReplyDeleteBy unmet, I mean my theories that has not come true. For example, my theory wherein Myrddin and Arawn are lovers when Ogam refused to answer Riannon back in the tomb of Arawn, and more importantly, Pwyll being Arthur's father... And an alternative, Pwyll being Arthur's previous being (like how Lucifer is Arawn's previous self)
u hve interesting theories..but i like pwyll as arawn's son. that would be sweet <3
ReplyDeletetailesin... in your heaven, be happy and sing the song of arawn and riannon
